On the calendar of Basque festivals in the Western United States, next Sunday, June 7, was time for the celebration of the San Francisco Basque Club Annual Festival, As many others, it was cancelled due to the coronavirus, but aita Antton Egiguren, Basque chaplain for the USA, maintains the online celebration of the picnic's mass in Basque and English, that will be broadcasted at 9am (PST) and 6pm Euskal Herria time through his parish’s Facebook page.
"We have lost our good man Isidore Camou (80 years old) from Chino, as well as Leonard Mallea (95 years old) from Caldwell [also Jean Acheritogaray, from San Francisco, that passed away on June 6th]. We will pray for them and all the intentions you may have in the depths of your hearts. Know that the good Lord always hears our prayers and wipes away our tears".
