Bilbao, Bizkaia.  The Azkue Foundation and magazine Argia have opened the voting period to choose the best blogs in Basque as part of the “Blogetan” contest.  There are a total of 115 blogs that are eligible to compete for the prize, organized in four categories: culture, politics and society, science and technology and finally leisure.  Voting will close on February 16^th.

Voting is open to anyone wishing to participate and will count for 50% of the final result with the remaining 50% up to the jury.  Three blogs will be chosen from each category during this phase and votes can be cast in two different ways:

• By registering on the contest’s website and choosing the best in each category by clicking the “Bozkatu” (vote) button that is next to each blog.
• By Twitter, clicking on the “Twitter” button that also appears next to each candidate.  It is necessary to register on Twitter and the vote will create an automatic tweet.

Each internet user is allowed one vote in each category a day, but will be able to enter as many days as he/she wishes to vote.  Good luck to all the participants!
