Try your imagination and compete in "Irudimena" with the Azkue Fundazioa and EKE, you only have a week left!

The Basque Cultural Institute in Iparralde (EKE), and the Azkue Foundation have opened the third edition of the “Irudimena” (imagination) contest aimed to support artistic creation in the Basque Country and the Diaspora. The deadline to enter is May 15, and so if you haven’t entered yet, you had better hurry up! The prized are gift cards in the amounts of 300, 200, and 100 Euros to spend on books, music, or technology from FNAC (on-line for those in the Diaspora).

Bilbao, Bizkaia.  Next Wednesday is the deadline to participate in the “Irudimena” contest sponsored by the EKE and the Azkue Foundation as part of the Hogei’ta project. Participants need to choose one of the eight sounds of Euskal herria that are provided and create a new work, or a new sound departing from there (of any type: music, song, mix…), a text in Basque (in whatever genre, poetry, narrative, description, bertso…) or a new image (photos, drawings, paintings…).

Creatsions should be sent to the organizers following this form, before Wednesday May 15. More information, and contest rules here.

Prizes are in the form of gift cards for FNAC (also available online).  First place in each category will a 300 Euro gift card, second 200, and third 100.
