The Etxepare Basque Institute wanted to encourage students at various Basque language and culture lectureships around the world to participate in Korrika 18, a race in favor of the Basque language. In this light, Etxepare organized a Korrika 18 video contest and has now published the winners: the Basque students at the National University of La Plata in Argentina. Their teacher is Idurre Lekuona. Zorionak to you all!

La Plata, Argentina.  In an effort to spread Korrika 18 throughout the world the Etxepare Basque Institute invited professors and students at its 30 Basque culture and language lectureships that it supports in various countries, to join in the race in favor of Euskera.  In order to help in the organization of activities, Etxepare acquired race bibs and got them to their students to wear at various organized activities.

Etxepare also organized a video contest to award the best events.  According to the institute, the prize was awarded to the students at the National University of La Plata in Argentina that is taught by Idurre Lekuona from Errenteria.  One of the students will enjoy the prize which is a trip to the Basque Country and an intensive Basque course at one of AEK’s barnetegis.
