The Government has published the recipients of 2013's aid for persons of extreme need in the Diaspora

The Basque Government has published the Resolution to award this year’s financial aid “to Basque club’s to meet the needs of club member’s in situations of dire need in the Basque community abroad.” The call includes a budget of 202,000 Euros, the same as last year, and will be split among 57 applications in 20 Basque clubs in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Vitoria-Gasteiz.  The Basque Government has published the list of people who will benefit from the 2013 call for aid “to meet the needs of those people who are members of the Basque community abroad in situations of dire need,” the funds are administered through the network of Basque clubs.

A total of 202,000 Euros, the same amount as last year, will be awarded.  Ninety-two applications were received from eight countries, (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Paraguay, the United States, Uruguay and Venezuela). From these thirty five were excluded for not meeting the required criteria.   

In the end, 57 people will benefit from this year’s aid in five countries (Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Venezuela) representing members of twenty different Basque clubs.
