Ibaiko Izarra provided Basque rhythm in the video “United Immigrants of Concordia,” for International Dance Day

The neskak of the Gazte Lurra dance group performed “Arku Dantza,” for the Day of the Dantzari video The Basque community in Concordia at the Ibaiko Izarra Basque Club has strong ties with the community.  During the year it participates actively in events organized by the City and the United Immigrant Association in Concordia, normally in person, however, due to the pandemic, this year their participation has been virtual.

Amable Martinez-Conde Elustondo passes away in Brazil, the last founding member of the Eusko Alkartasuna in Sao Paulo

Amable was 97.  Pictured Ignacio Martínez, Pilar Alava and Amable Martínez-Conde receiving a plaque from the Basque club in 2014 Pilar Alava, president of the Eusko Alkartasuna Basque Club in Sao Paulo, told us the news of the death of the last founding member of Eusko Alkartasuna founded in 1959. Image of the online General Assembly of Euzko Etxea in Santiago, Chile The Euzko Etxea in Santiago held its General Assembly online on Wednesday April 28th approving, among other issues, the previous Minutes and the 2020 Balance and Report.  Elections were also held, and resulted in the re-election of President Ignacio Bastarrica for another term, along with three other directors in their positions, and Carlos Gurrutxaga also joining the board.

The Plazoleta Gernika; and the Chivilcoy Basque Club that presented its 10th Literary Contest “The Tree of Gernika” The contest through which the Beti Aurrera Basque Club pays tribute to Gernika and the victims of the bombing has now reached its 10th edition in 2021.  Co-organized with the Argentine Society of Writers, SADE, in Chivicoy, the call open to anyone in the nation was presented as part of the 84th anniversary of the massacre.
