As part of the celebration of the International Day of Euskera, December 3, the Etxepare Basque Institute has organized a photo contest on social media. The participants will be students and teachers of the 38 Basque language and culture lectureships supported by Etxepare around the world. The top five photos, as designated by popular vote on the Institute’s Facebook page, will then be judged by a jury at Etxepare who will choose the winner.

Donostia-San Sebastian.  “Etxepare in the World” is a photo contest directed at professors and students at the different Basque language and culture programs supported by the Institute.  According to Etxepare, the first photos have already been sent and they will be posted on Facebook by November 19 so that the public can choose their favorites.

Next, a jury from the Institute will choose the winning photo among the five who received the most votes.  Prizes will be announced on December 3, on the International Day of Euskera.  The winning student could take an intensive Basque course in the summer.
