Etxepare and Donostia 2016 open the call for three scholarships for artists in residence in Wroclaw, Poland

Are you a creator of music, literature, performing arts, plastic and audiovisual arts and are looking for space, time and inspiration to unleash your creativity? The Etxepare Institute and Donostia 2015 are giving you the opportunity to do so with three scholarships for artists in residence in Wroclaw. The Polish city will share the European Capital 2016 with Donostia and these scholarships are part of collaborative projects and cultural exchanges put in place as part of these events. Residencies will take place in June and July of this year and include 2,000 Euros plus travel, residence and living expenses. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2014

Donostia-San Sebastian. The Etxepare Institute along with Donostia 2016 have opened the call for three scholarships for artists in residence in Wroclaw, Poland, destined for creators and art projects in the performing arts, literature, music, audiovisual or plastics. The goal of these scholarships is to support the mobility and creative currents of Basque artists as promote dialogue between various artistic disciplines and various cultures, for mutual enrichment. The scholarships are the fruit of an agreement of collaboration between the Etxepare Basque Institute and the Donostia 2016 Foundation.

Three Basques will be chosen as artists in residence in Wroclaw that will also be the European Capital in 2016 along with Donostia.  The creators selected will reside in Poland for 15-20 days in June or July of 2014.  During this time, they should carry out projects relating to the European cultural capitals of 2016 or Wroclaw and Donostia.  Each artist will receive 2,000 Euros as well as travel, residence and living expenses.

The application period is open from now until February 28, 2014.  Applications should be sent to the Etxepare Basque Institute (C/ Prim 7. 20006 Donostia-San Sebastian) in any of the accepted formats outlined in the call, including telematic ones.
