El CBS de Reno arranca mañana la conferencia internacional "Beyond Gernika & the Guggenheim"

El Center for Basque Studies de la Universidad de Reno-Nevada, en EEUU, comenzará mañana su Simposio Internacional 2013, titulado "Beyond Guernica and the Guggenheim: Relations between Art and Politics from a Comparative Perspective". El congreso, de tres días de duración, reunirá a expertos de distintos ámbitos para debatir en torno a la relación entre arte y política en la sociedad actual. La conferencia ha sido organizada por Adelina Moya y Jesús Arpal, receptores de la beca de investigación William Douglass Scholar, y por Zoe Bray, profesora del CBS.

Reno, EEUU. Desde mañana y hasta el sábado, el Center for Basque Studies de la Universidad de Nevada-Reno se convertirá en punto de encuentro de expertos en política, sociología y arte, que participarán en el Simposio "Beyond Guernica and the Guggenheim: Relations between Art and Politics from a Comparative Perspective" (Más allá de Guernica y el Guggenheim: Relaciones entre Arte y Política desde una Perspectiva Comparativa).

El objetivo de este congreso es desarrollar, desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar, la creciente investigación sobre la interacción entre arte y política hoy en día. Los expertos reunidos en Reno analizarán la cuestión tanto desde el punto de vista teórico como empírico, en el marco de un contexto cultural y político internacional.
