The Txalamobil is an artistic and musical project that aims to bring the sounds of the txalaparta to the world, thanks to a collective group of artists who formed the so called 'Komando Trini'. Tomorrow, the Trinis will be in Frankfurt with their txalaparta where they will participate in the “Musikmesse Frankfurt,” an instrument and music fair. In addition, they will give a seminar on the txalaparta at the Institut für Vergleichende Irrelevanz (IVI). On Sunday the group will travel to Berlin, where they will perform in the city streets.

Frankfurt, Germany.  The Trinis will return to Frankfurt tomorrow with their traveling txalaparta the “Txalamobil” to perform at Musikmesse Frankfurt, an international exhibition of instruments, sheet music and music production.  There they will carry out various street performances, invited by the Department of Basque Studies at the University of Frankfurt.

They will also give a seminar, “Seminar on the Txalamobil” at the Institut für Vergleichende Irrelevanz (IVI), a former university institute that has been occupied since 2003, where academic, cultural and political activities take place.  It will be a theoretic-practical workshop where audience members will become better acquainted with this unique artistic project; the result of a merger between a bike-cart and a txalaparta.

The Trinis will also be interviewed for the Basque-German radio program Irrati X, where they will also talk about the txalaparta, the Txalamobil, as well as the music fair.  Irrati X is broadcast on local radio station Radio X with this program being aired on Saturday March 25th from 12.00 to 13.00, as well as via live stream on www.radiox.de.

Finally, this Sunday the group will go to Berlin where they will perform in the streets as well as in the Mauerpark Park between 12:00pm and 14:00pm and in the Kreuzberg from 15:00-17:00.
