Create a short name in Basque for the concept "Healthy Basque Fast Food” and win 600 euros

The Jakiberri project --an initiative of (I+D+i) aimed to create a natural Basque food that is healthy, diverse, nutritious, fast-food meal-- has launched a contest on the internet. Participants should propose a name in Basque of the concept “Healthy Basque Fast Food.” It is easy to participate, just fill out the online questionnaire with your proposal. The deadline to enter is June 28.

Arrasate, Mondragon. The Jakiberri Project invites participants to enter an easy and fun contest in which the Basque language, fast and healthy food go hand in hand: find an original name, maybe a one word translation into Basque of the concept in English “"Healthy Basque Fast Food”.

Jakiberri is an initiative of (I+D+i) that hopes to create a Basque meal that is quick to prepare, natural, diverse and nutritious. This project is supported by the ISEA S.COOP (a center for innovation and entrepreneurship for private and non-profits promoted by the Mondragon Corporation).

To participate

Jakiberri put the contest on line in to find a name in Basque for “Healthy Basque Fast Food,” given that until now society has been using direct English translations that are unsatisfactory.

The deadline to enter is June 28. All proposals will be forwarded to Euskaltzaindia, the Basque Language Academy, for analysis and consideration. The winning proposal will be awarded 600 Euros.
