Donostia-San Sebastian.  Beginning in November the Etxepare Basque Institute started a photo contest “Etxepare Munduan” and even though the original idea was to announce the winners on December 3, coinciding with the International Day of Euskera, the deadline has been extended due to technical problems.  On December 3 it was then announced that the voting phase had opened on social networks: Etxepare published the photos on its Facebook page and now has invited everyone to choose their favorites.

All you have to do to see these images is go to the Institute’s Facebook page (Basque, Spanish, English and French).  To vote you need to like the Institute and then you can choose the photos that you like the most.  The deadline is Sunday and then a jury, chosen by the Institute, will choose the winning photo among the five top vote getters.

The photos were taken by students participating in programs supported by the Etxepare in universities in 15 different countries and the winner will enjoy an intensive Basque language course in Euskal Herria.  The name of the winner will be published on Monday, December 10.
