Donostia-San Sebastian.  The Etxepare Basque Institute organized the contest as part of the Euskera Day festivities, December 3, directed to the professors and students in its Basque language and culture lectureships in 37 universities around the world, in order bring awareness to the importance of the work that is being done by them.

Of the 82 photos that entered and were uploaded to the Institute’s Facebook page, the jury chose the winner from the top five vote-getters.  There was a very good response since the 82 photos received a total of 1,042 votes on social media.
