A documentary on rock in Bizkaia is chosen for the “Docs Wanted,” award; support it with your online vote!

The Canadian organization Cuban Hat has selected the documentary project 160 Meters: The Story of Rock in Bizkaia among those aspiring to the Docs Wanted award. Now, the project is competing against another 14 proposals in order to become a finalist. The selection is conducted through online voting; if you would like to support this project and would like it to win, go ahead and vote for it. But watch out voting closes this Sunday!

Donostia-San Sebastian.  According to the Etxepare Basque Institute, the Canadian Association, Cuban Hat, has selected the project by Bizkaian producer, Mediatag Crosmedia for the Docs Wanted awards.  This refers to documentaries in process for which producers are raising funds.  It will be entitled, 160 Meters: The Story of Rock in Bizkaia and will discuss the transformation of Bilbao in the 90 from the point of view of rock.

The project is one in a list of qualifiers and in order for it to become a finalist, it needs support from voters.  You can vote online from here.  The deadline to do so, however, is Sunday, May 26th..

The list of finalists will be published on May 27.  The award ceremony will take place in Cannes, France as part of the Sunny Side of the Doc from June 25-28.
