Valladolid, Spain. On May 11 and 12, Valladolid hosted the State Mus Tournament along with the annual meeting of the federation of Basque clubs.  The events were hosted by Valladolid, last year’s champions.

The must tournament took place throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday morning, resulting in Norberto Rodriguez and Andres Fernandez, representatives of Barcelona’s Euskal Etxea, as the champions.  The event closed with a meal on Sunday where attendees enjoyed a traditional lamb dish, according to Gure Txoko sources.

Federation meeting

On Sunday morning the annual meeting of the Federation of Euskal Etxeak of Spain took place and addressed the following topics: possible cuts in 2013 subsidies, approving of the 2012 treasurer’s report and 2013 budget, World Mus Championships to be celebrated in Chile, and the federation’s upcoming activities. 

Valladolid’s Gure Txoko secretary, Jokin Oncalada, highlighted, “what a great atmosphere there was all weekend long, both directly and indirectly, as we participated in various activities that took place.”
