Battle Mountain, NV, USA. The Oberenak Basque Club’s campaign continues in Battle Mountain, NV gathering votes to be awarded the “Roots Leadership” award for 2021. The Oberenak Basque Club is one of the six finalists vying for the award, that will be decided by popular vote. Members of the Basque community are grateful for the votes and campaigns that can be organized in their favor. The Battle Mountain Chamber of Commerce chose the Basque club as a candidate for its “Roots Leadership” 2021. The award is presented to associations and business that have been in existence and functioning in the town for more than 15 years. The deadline to vote is April 14th.
Winners will be announced on April 16th at a dinner and event organized by the Chamber of Commerce. The Battle Mountain Oberenak Basque club is a member of NABO, and has done great work to promote the Basque culture locally, offering young people a healthy activity linked to Basque culture, traditions and values.
