The London Basque Society has organized children’s playgroup in Basque as of January

London’s Euskal Etxea will begin the year with a new project: creating the “Euskal Playgroup,” a group of games for children where members children can get together, play and relate to others their age in Basque. The idea came from the parents themselves and will begin in January. Anyone who would like their children to participate should contact the London Basque Society.

London, England. Starting in January, the children of London’s Basque club will have one more activity that is entirely dedicated to them, the Euskal Playgroup. The project came about in autumn when some of the members of the London Basque Society, proposed creating a group where their children could play and get to know other Basque children, and even practice Basque.

The new activity will begin in January and the meetings will possibly take place on Saturdays at the Basque clubhouse, at the Oxford House. According to the club’s website www.zintzilik.org there are already several interested families. Anyone who would like to enroll their children should contact the club via email.

Additionally the club has various activities planned for January like a concert on the 12 by Jon&Sugramas and Bitter Honey, at the Oxford House.
