Vitoria-Gasteiz. The Governing Council of the Basque Government approved yesterday the 2020 call for grants for individuals in dire need in Basque communities around the world. To date, these grants that are managed by the individual’s Basque clubs, have a total budget of 202,000 Euros.  The call will come into effect once the resolution is published in the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country (EHAA-BOPV), in the coming days.  The deadline to apply will then be one month from the next date of its publication.

Applications must include proof of membership in the Basque community and residence abroad, as well as their lack of assets or income indicating dire need.  Applicants should also reside in private homes without being part of a group, community or entity that by regulations, or statutes, must provide them help.

The call will be published in the coming days in the EHAA-BOPV bulletin.  If you are in need, or if you know someone that could use this help, contact your local Basque club, or the closest club to you, or the closest Basque Governmen's Delegation or the Directorate of the Basque Community Abroad itself (euskaletxeak@euskadi.eus).
