Buenos Aires, Argentina. As part of the campaign for the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Platform for Action “Women and Equality: 25 Years since Beijing” is taking place online this week as part of the Diverses (sic) program organized by the CCEBA (Cultural Center of Spain in Buenos Aires); ONU Women Argentina, as part of the “Equal Generation. For Women’s Rights” and the Multimedia Institute DerHumALC [IMD].

The proposal, which aims to promote reflection with Ibero-American activists and institutional leaders, will feature the participation of two Basque artists. Actor and singer Itziar Ituño will take part today (with a recorded intervention) of the Conversation "Narratives on the violence experienced by women" together with Thelma Fardín (from Argentine Actresses); María Claudia Albornoz (gender front of La Poderosa) and Nerea Barjola (political scientist from Bizkaia). The event is at 2:00 p.m. in Argentina (7:00 p.m. in the Basque Country) and can be seen on Facebook and Youtube CCEBA.

In the same way, also part of the series, tomorrow Beti Bezperako Koplak, directed by Ageda Kopla Taldea will be shown free of charge.  In this short film made in 2016, Bertsolari Maialen Lujanbio, coinciding with the celebration the night before Sant Ageda, presents a “stark” complaint of the various manifestations of gender violence.  The short can be seen on the Octubretv.com (only available in Argentina).
