Donostia-San Sebastián. The artist born in Balcarce, Argentina is currently in the land of his ancestors, and so naturally the landscapes, customs and climate have given him inspiration for a series of drawings.  The illustrations don’t only show Echeverria’s talent but also the perspective of someone that “is a little bit from here, without being completely from here.”  The illustrator is currently in Donostia but he has also toured other cities like Bilbao, Pamplona, Hondarribia, Hernani…

Iñaki was born to a Basque-Argentine family and has maintained a strong relationship with Euskal Herria.  His father was one of the founders of the Balcarceko Euskaldunak Basque club in Balcarce and Iñaki also participated in the first edition of Gaztemundu.

His work has brought him to the Basque Country more than once.  His latest presentations in Euskal Herria include his book ESMA, as well as What the Night Knows,” last July in the Joker Bookstore in Bilbao.

More of his illustrations on social media, Iñaki Echeverria and @echeverria.inaki.
