Euskadi’s team #1 won the XXXIV World Mus Championship of Basque Collectivities

This Saturday prizes were handed out as part of the official closing ceremonies of the World Mus Championships of Basque Collectivities that had been taking place in Anglet, Lapurdi since October 8th. This year’s winners were Antonio Vicente and Angel Ribero, Euskadi team #1, who also won last year’s championships in Los Angeles. Second place winners were Julien Amestoy and Fabrice Etchart from France.

Angelu-Anglet, Lapurdi.  This year’s XXXIV edition of the World Mus Championships of Basque Collectivities concluded this weekend in Anglet that gathered muslaris from twelve countries: Argentina, Australia, the Basque Country, Canada, Chile, France, Mexico, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, the USA and Venezuela.  As the hosting country France was allowed two teams as was the Basque Country as last year’s winners. 

The finals were played on Friday with champions being the Euskadi team #1 Antonio Vicente and Angel Ribero, who were able to keep the title that they had won last year at the World Championships in LA.  Second place was awarded to the French team made up of Julien Amestoy and Fabrice Etchart, while third place went to Mexico’s team Miguel Mendiburu and Justo Gutierrez.  For complete results, here.
