A score of Basque experts, including Bernardo Atxaga, participate in the Forum for Iberian Studies at Oxford

The XV Forum for Iberian Studies will be held June 20-22 at Oxford University in the United Kingdom, with Euskera playing a leading role. A large delegation of Basque experts will participate in the conference, including Bernardo Atxaga, Josu Amezaga, Xabi Paya, Itziar Azpeitia, and Mari Jose Olaziregi, the direction of Promotion of the Basque Language of the Etxepare Basque Institute. Thanks to these presenters, Basque will be one of the featured topics at the conference. Additionally, six of these experts will present in Basque according to the Etxepare Institute.

Oxford, UK.  The XV edition of the Forum for Iberian Studies will begin on June 20 at Oxford University in the UK. Euskera will be featured among the other languages spoken on the Iberian Peninsula as indicated by the large number of Basque experts participating, eighteen in all.

Among the experts are writer Bernardo Atxaga, Communications Professor Josu Amezaga, Bertsolari Xabi Paya (Lecturer of Basque language and culture at Birmingham University), and Mari Jose Olaziregi, Director for the Promotion of the Basque language of the Etxepare Basque Institute, entity that is sponsoring the conference. 

Most will talk about topics related to Euskera and Basque culture, and six of them will even present in Basque.  The inauguration of conference will feature Bernardo Atxaga, Isabel Capeloa Gil (Portugal), Josep Anton Fernandez (Catalonia), Jose Manuel Sande (Galicia) and Rob Stone (UK).
