BCC lankidetzan ari da Latinoamerikako Ñam Sukaldaritza Jaialdiarekin, eta ekintzailetzari buruzko lantegia antolatu du. Basque Culinary Centerren ordezkaritza bat dago Txilen, bi arrazoi direla medio. Batetik, bere burua ezagutzera ematea eta Txileko Biltzar Gastronomiko garrantzitsuenean eta Latinoamerikako garrantzitsuenetako batean txosten bat aurkeztea. Bestetik, esparru horretan sukaldaritza-ekintzailetza sustatzea, Culinary Action! lantegiaren bidez.

“Travel broadens the mind” goes the saying, worn out by time and over-use. I was never sure if I believed that: the same narrow-minded idiot could traipse around the world ten times and come back utterly unchanged... and often has done. I must confess, though, that a trip to the Basque Country really did open my eyes. Besides making for a fantastic visit, it also educated me on the rich, often troubled history, and distinctive culture and way of life, of over two million people.

El proceso de canonización del llamado Apóstol de la Cooperación, el sacerdote diocesano José María Arizmendiarrieta, sigue adelante. Y lo hace, además, con el amparo y el apoyo unánime de los nueve teólogos designados por la Congregación para las Causas de los Santos para estudiar la vida y obra de este markindarra (1915-1976) que consagró su existencia a las personas y al espíritu comunitario. Este nuevo paso abre las puertas para que el inspirador y fundador del movimiento cooperativo vasco pueda recibir este mismo año, en el que se celebra el centenario de su nacimiento, el nombramiento de Venerable por el Papa Francisco.

El intendente Gustavo Arrieta recibió en su despacho la visita de los miembros del Centro Vasco “Denak Bat” para felicitarlos por la celebración del fin de semana que reunió a diversos centros de toda la región y del país, además de concretar la entrega de un aporte económico que será destinado para refaccionar la sede cañuelense.

Le mérite de ce constat revient à Mikel Prieto, chercheur à Euskal Ikaskuntza qui, au bout de deux ans d'investigations rigoureuses dans les archives et sur le terrain, a établi l'origine de la famille Mujica dans le quartier rural d'Astigarreta de Beasain, de laquelle descend le président exemplaire du "petit pays" sud-américain José Alberto 'Pepe' Mujica Cordano.

Donostia-San Sebastian is one of the five worls's best backpacer cities for food. According to Australian paper The New Daily. the coastal Basque city is the first one of those five, together with Oaxaca, Mexico, Naples, Italy, Osaka, Japan, and New Orlreans, USA. Estatu Batuetara emigrante joan ziren espainiarrei buruzko argazki-liburu batek Valentin Aguirre eta beste euskaldun batzuen argazki eta materiala biltzen du. James D. Fernandez eta Luis Argeo egile eta biltzaile dituen "Invisible Immigrants Spaniards in the US (1868-1945)" liburua ingelesez eta gaztelaniaz eman da argitara eta 327 argazki batzen ditu. El gran álbum de los emigrantes españoles en Estados Unidos. El libro "Invisible Immigrants Spaniards in the US (1868-1945)" (Invisibles emigrantes españoles a los Estados Unidos, 1868-1945) de James D. Fernández y Luis Argeo, en edición bilingüe inglés y español, reúne 327 fotos de la vida de los que se marcharon a hacer las Américas.
