Valencia, Spain. Totally presential or if you prefer so online, the Laurak Bat Basque Club in Valencia is providing Basque classes for another year, beginning in October to run through June.  You can check schedules for each group and level on its website that will be finalized when enrollment, levels, preferences and available of students and teachers are adjusted.

The club supports in person classes as much as possible, in groups with a maximum of 10 students, although leaving the online option open to students who prefer that mode.  In recent years, the annual average has been 70-80 students divided into 7 groups.  They use the Arian method to teach classes, and every year they open new groups for beginning Basque, as well as more advanced levels.

Realizing that these last two years have been complicated, club members are still optimistic and explained to EuskalKultura.eus, following all health protocols in place that they are beginning to resume their usual activities.  Resuming the film series, the annual trip to the Durango Book Fair, pintxo contests, and “Menditour,” the activity that they hold with the local Mendizale group.  They are hoping to recuperate festivities that members enjoy the most like “Euskera Day, Tamborrada dinner, Santa Agueda, Korrika and San Fermin.”

Register for Basque classes using this form.
