Buenos Aires, Argentina. The “Great Triangle,” an internal tournament at the Iparraldeko Euskal Etxea took place on June 8th and gathered teams including Gonzalo de Durana and Nicolás Berruezo; Gastón Valle and Rodrigo Varela; and Joaquín Taborda and Fernando Verón, the latter taking first place. The club wanted to stress the participation of young people in the activity as well as in the organization of the event, supported by “pilotaris full of enthusiasm and lovers of the sport.”
Representatives of the Iparralde Basque Club in Buenos Aires took advantage of the occasion to invite everyone to attend its traditional Sorgin Afaria-Witch Dinner, that will be celebrated on June 23th to commemorate the solstice and the feast of San Juan when bonfires are lit in the Basque Country.
