Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event took place on June 11th, on the anniversary date, presided by the city’s deputy mayor, Diego Santilli, and the president of the Juan de Garay Basque-Argentine Foundation, Diego Ibarbia. Besides addressing those present, the authorities both laid wreaths at the monument dedicated to the founder, Juan de Garay, while the Auxiliary Bishop, Joaquin Sucunza, said a prayer.
Besides the aforementioned authorities, students from the Euskal Echea School were also present, along with a platoon of the Patricios, the delegate of the Basque Government in Argentina and Mercosur, Sara Pagola, and the president of the Euskal Echea Association, Enrique Fagoaga.
Members and council members of the Juan de Garay Foundation also attended along with the general public.
