The Laurak Bat Basque Club in Valencia hosted the traveling exhibit “Navarre, Artisanal Gourmet” last week

The Laurak Bat Club in Valencia was the scene last week of the “Navarre, Artisanal Gourmet,” gathering organized by the Government of Navarre in hopes of spreading the promoting the variety and quality of gastronomic products from the province under the brand names of “Reyno Gourmet” and “Alimentos Artesanos de Navarra.” This traveling exhibit is currently touring several Spanish cities that have Navarrese clubs in them, according to government offices. 

Valencia, Spain.   “Navarre, Artisanal Gourmet,” is a traveling exhibit sponsored by the Government of Navarre that is currently touring cities in Spain having Navarraese clubs, houses, or associations.  It is also supported by the Navarrese Institute of Technology and Food Infrastructures (INTIA).

The Valencia event was attended by the general director of communications and institutional relations, Pello Pellejero, who was accompanied by Carlos Galiana, delegate of commerce and media relations for the city hall of Valencia; Joaquin Valera, coordinator of touristic projects and the Valencian Tourism Agency; and Alberto Artieda, president of  the local Laurak Bat club.  In all there were nearly 50 people in attendance, including other distinguished professionals form the gastronomy and restaurant sectors in Valencia.

After the welcoming remarks, the event continued with an explanation of the exhibit by Jesus Orduna from “Alimentos Artesanos de Navarra,” about the characteristics and specialties presented (oils, dairy, preserves, canned foods, cured meats, wine and patxaran, jams, etc.) groups under the aforementioned brands.  The event ended with a tasting of the products presented.
