Vitoria-Gasteiz. The Advisory Board of the Basque Government has approved the appointment of Unai Telleria Jauregialzo (Oñati, 1987), as the new Delegate of Euskadi in the United States at this morning’s session. Telleria, who has been the Business Manager of the Basque Government Delegation in New York until now, replaces Delegate Jorge Fernandez Quintela who was appointed in June 2018, replacing Ander Caballero Barturen.
Unai Telleria has a degree in Business Administration and Management, and Technical Engineering in Management Informatics from the University of Deusto. He has also lived in New York, a city whose euskal etxea he is a member of and where he volunteers teaching Basque as well as secretary of its board (he just resigned due to incompatibility with his new position).
The appointment will take effect in the coming days, as soon as it is published in the Official Bulletin of the Basque Country (EHAA-BOPV).
