Asuncion, Paraguay.  The Basque club in Asuncion would like to share the launching fo the book 'Los Garay en la Cultura Paraguaya' (The Garays in the Paraguayan Culture) by Raul Amaral, that will take place on Friday May 17, 2013 at 19:30 in the Paraguayan Academy of History at its headquarters at Dr. Andrés Barbero N° 230reaching Artigas, in the Paraguayan capital.

The Basque association, faithful to its objective of addressing, delving, and uncovering important contributions by the Basques and their descendants lent and continue to work on the history and the reality of Paraguay, with the publication and presentation of this work “to publicize the invaluable contribution that the Garays have made to our country throughout history.”

The event is part of the program of cultural activities for 2013, of the Basque club in Asuncion- Asunciongo Euskal Etxea.

They also celebrated their General Assembly on May 3, and reelected Hector Izaguirre as president along with his team that includes Eddy Irigoitia as vice-president, replacing Arturo Sasiain, who resigned due to health concerns.
