Oskorri, Anari and Korrontzi in Barcelona as part of the Basque Music Festival EH Sona 2015

Barcelona’s Euskal Etxea has begun selling tickets to the Euskal Herria Sona! 2015 Music Festival that begins on October 30. This is the 18th edition of the festival that showcases the latest in Basque music in the Catalan capital.  This year the poster includes performances by Oskorri (as part of its farewell) Anari, Jabier Muguruza and Korrontzi, among others. 

Barcelona, Catalonia.  Barcelona’s Basque music festival, Euskal Herria Sona! now in its eighteenth year of bringing a large array of sounds from the Basque Country to the Catalan capital.  This year, the festival will take place form October 30 to November 19 and will include leading groups, rock, traditional music and much more.

The festival begins on October 30 with a concert by mythic group Oskorri, as part of the group’s farewell tour.  This will be the last chance to see Oskorri in Catalonia.  The concert will take place at 22:00 at the C.A.T. and tickets cost 25 Euros (the very last one and farewell concert in the Basque Country will be in Bilbao on Nov, 22)..

The next day, October 31, there will be a Trikipoteo through the streets surrounding the Basque club starting at 9pm.

On November 6, the singer from Gasteiz, Libe, will give a free concert at the Passeig del Born starting at 8pm.  The next day, at the Salamandra room, the Euskal Etxea has organized a special concert for the 18th birthday of EH Sona.  It will begin at 8pm.

On November 13, Joseba B. Lenoir Gand will play at the Euskal Etxea at 8pm (admission 6 Euros).  The next day, there will be a free concert by the group Munlet (Txo!).  There will also be another concert that day with Governors + Larregi at the Razzmatazz 3.  Admission 6 Euros.

The weekend of November 20 will begin with a concert by Jabier Muguruza on Friday at the Euskal Etxea at 8pm.  Admission is 10 Euros.  The following day, November 21, the folk group Korrontzi will perform, time yet to be determined, but admission is 8 Euros.

On November 27, it will be Patrol Destroyers turn who will play at the Euskal Etxea at 8pm, admission is 3 Euros.  The festival will close on November 28 with a concert by singer Anari, at the Apolo Room.  This will take place at 9pm and admission is expected to be 8 Euros.
