Invited by the Friends of the Basques, Kepa Etchandy presented his book “Amerikanuak” in Chacabuco

As part of his visit to Argentina, the photographer from Baiona, Kepa Etchandy, presented his book Amerikanuak in the city of Chacabuco during the 2014 Cultural Cycle carried out by the local Friends of Basques Association. During his stay, Etchandy met with his friends of Mundu Vasco Magazine, who regaled him with a typical BBQ. During the next few days, Etchandy will present his work in various Basque institutions as well as at the Buenos Aires Book Fair.

Chacabuco, Argentina. Accompanied by Roberto Landaburu, promoter of the publication of Amerikanuak in Argentina, Kepa Etchandy presented his book and gave a talk in the main hall of Chacabuco’s Cultural Center.  

The event took place last Saturday, April 26th, and was followed by the public “who were very attentive and carefully observing the photographic material shown by the artist on the big screen.” In this way, members of the organizing association completed another activity it its 2014 Cultural Cycle.

During his visit to Chacabuco the photographer from Iparralde also met with friends at the Mundo Vasco Magazine.  Fans and guests shared a typical Argentinean meal, BBQ and 'empanadas', before leaving to continue the Basque club tour.

Besides Chacabuco, Etchandy also visited Venado Tuerto, Rosario and Villa Maria, as well as Buenos Aires where he will present at the Iparralde Basque club, at the Euskal Echea school, at Eusketxe and at Euskaltzaleak, as well as autographing copies of his book on May 9th from 18:00 at the Basque Stand at the Book Fair.
