Euskal Herria in winter: images of photographer Kepa Etchandy available online

We are experiencing the most raw of winters in Euskal Herria: rain, gusty winds, floods, snow storms as well as storms at sea…The photographer Kepa Etchandy decided to take advantage of nature’s show and has included a series entitled, “Euskal Herria in Winter” on his website: www.ibaifoto.com. The series gathers nearly 50,000 images of the Basque Country.

Baiona, Lapurdi.  The photographer Kepa Etchandy has been sharing his work online for some time: many images of places, customs and various aspects of life in the Basque Country.  A selection of them can be seen online at Ibaifoto.com, including his most recent a series on winter in the Basque Country.

Visitors will enjoy images of festivals like that in Baiona, the Pastoral in Arrokiaga, photos of life in the Aturri River, mountains, nature, sea, landscapes, people, news…

“These images of the Basque Country are the result of 20 years of work,” explains Etchandy. He visited the Basque diaspora in Argentina a few years ago and made a series on Basques abroad as a partner of the Euskal Argentina association.
