Donostia-San Sebastian. EuskalKultura.com, thanks to its director Joseba Etxarri, will be present at some of the upcoming picnics that begin the US Basque festival season.  His trip will begin on May 17-18^th in Los Banos where he will attend the Los Banos Basque Club’s picnic.

The entity celebrates its 50^th anniversary and will celebrate in style with a range of activities that include a concert by Basque-California trio Noka, and the group Luhartz, who are traveling from the Basque Country to entertain at this event’s public dance.  As part of the weekend activities, Joseba Etxarri will give a talk on the Basques in California.  For complete program of activities, here.

His next stop is in Bakersfield where the annual Kern County Basque Club will hold its annual festival coinciding this year with its 70^th anniversary.  The club has organized a complete program of activities including an Accordion Festival and performances by Noka and singer Mikel Markez, among others.  Complete program, here.

In addition, Bakersfield will also host the NABO summer meeting that will take place on Friday the 23^rd.  Joseba Etxarri will attend the meeting and will participate in the cultural and social activities throughout the weekend. 

Finally, his trip to California will conclude on the weekend of May 31^st – June 1^st at the San Francisco Basque Club’s Annual picnic. In between he also will visit the Center for Basque Studies of the University of Nevada in Reno and the Basque Museum and Basque associations and facilities in Boise, Idaho.
