After talks in Cnel Moldes and Villa Mercedes, Cesar Arrondo will speak tomorrow in Cordoba, thanks to Gerora

Cordoba, Argentina. Tomorrow, Wednesday, October 24, Professor Cesar Arrondo will participate in the conference “In Search of Lehendakari Agirre, the First President of the Basque Government,” organized by the Gerora Basque Association in Cordoba.  The event, that will include a talk, debate and screening, will take place at 6pm in Auditorium B in the College of Language at the National University of Cordoba, located in Velez Sarsfield 178.

Visits to Cnel. Moldes and Villa Mercedes

On the way to the capital of Cordoba, Professor Arrondo made two stops at two other Basque clubs in the area.  Invited by Gure Zainak Basque Club in Coronel Moldes, in the Province in Cordoba, on Friday October 19th he gave the talk “The Basque Nation today: Its Territory, Language, History, and Culture,” in the auditorium at the Toro Club.  Afterwards there was a snack and other talks that followed.

During his stay in Cnel. Moldes, Arrondo also visited the Sub-Secretary of Education and Culture and local radio stations where he was interviewed.  He was also welcomed at the local Casa Radical, where he presented his book Hipolito Yrigoyen (1916-2016). The First Century of Popular Sovereignty.

Continuing his travel, 100 kilometers from Moldes, in the Province of San Luis, the UNLP Professor again presented his book at the Rouan Gallery, at the Villa Mercedes Euskal Etxea.  The event concluded with some cooking and Cesar Arrondo and Castor Conde representing the Gastronomic Association Alkartasuna, preparing chicken in piperade to share with their local hosts.
