Educator and writer Arantxa Ugartetxea has a close relationship with the Basque Diaspora in Brazil, where she lived for 8 years in the 80s. It was then that she got to know the Atletico Paulistano Club, formed by a group of Basque pilota fans. The passion of these Brazilian pilotaris for Cesta Punta inspired Arantxa to write a novel that invokes the adventures and the incredible stories that they told in Brazil. “They love the spectacle of Cesta Punta and the sound of the ball against the wall, or when it hits the cesta,” recalls the author.
