Once again, the great Basque Diaspora festival in Argentina became a display for Basque clubs to show what they have been working on all year long.  In the case of November 7th, the main activity, without a doubt was music, thanks to choirs, musicians, soloists and groups that provided Basque songs and melodies, on various instruments and in different ways.  Following the second photo chronical of Semana Vasca 2014.

La Plata, Argentina.   Maybe it’s time to review the phrase that describes the Basques as “a people that sings and dances on both sides of the Pyrenees,” to say that it is really “a people that sings and dances on both sides of the Atlantic.”  At least that what we saw last weekend with hundreds of Basque that gathered in the capital of the province of Buenos Aires to celebrate the Semana Nacional Vasca 2014, as part of the 70th anniversary of the local Basque club.  EuskalKultura.com accompanied each one of the activities to summarize the events for its readers in a new photo gallery.

(Tomorrow another new photo gallery from Semana Vasca in La Plata)
