Do you live outside of the Basque Country but you want your kids to be able to learn, practice, or above all have fun in Basque? The following website could be really helpful in all those areas. It is called Marrazkiak.99k.org and offers the possibility to download children’s films and cartoons in Euskara. Currently there are approximately 4,500 files. Among those are series like “Doraemon,” “Kodea: Lyoko,” and “'Pokemon,” (if you have kids you know what we are talking about) and classics like “Dragoi Bola,” “Arturo Erregea,” or “Scooby Doo.”

Donostia-San Sebastian. The website Marrazkiak.99k.org provides an ample catalogue of children’s movies and cartoon series in euskara that users can download for free. Among the 205 movies currently available are “Asterix,” “Harry Potter,” “The Little Vampire, “ “Ice Age,” “Megasonikoak,” “Niloko Printzesa,” and “Doraemon,” among others. In the cartoon section there are also 106 series, each of which divides into several chapters. Among these titles are “Dragoi Bola,” “Etxekaltetxoak,” “Hattori Ninja,” “Hirukiak,” and “Pokeman.”

It is very easy to download the series and films.  First, the user should choose the film or exact chapter of a series that he/she wants to see.  The system will then place that on the Megaupload server and from there download options will be provided: Premium (paid) and after a few seconds, normal, which is free.  After choosing one, the system will begin to download to the computer. You can also watch the episodes directly from Megaupload’s page.

For those that have trouble, the website includes a help section with the following:

1. How to see the file directly

2.  How to download a file: here (the system does not allow simultaneous downloads.  However, you can use a download manager like JDownloader to automate them.  You have to use this program to open DLC folders.)

3.  To convert a recording from TDT to Divx: here

4.  How to convert a DVD to .avi(Divx): here

Good luck and enjoy!
