Vitoria-Gasteiz. As communicated to the media, the Board, presided by the Lehendakari Patxi Lopez, approved today the cessation of the following posts:

- Director of Foreign Relations, Mikel Burzako Samper
- Director of European Subjects, Mikel Antón Zarragoitia
- Director of Relations with the Basque Collectivities, Josu Legarreta Bilbao
- Delegate of the Basque Government in Madrid, Pello Lasquibar
- Delegate of Euskadi in Brussels, Ibon Mendibelzua Madariaga
- Delegate of Euskadi in Argentina, Marieli Diaz de Mendibil Gomez de Segura
- Delegate of Euskadi for Colombia and Venezuela, Rafael Kutz Garaizabal
- Delegate of Euskadi in Chile, Jon Ander Erdozia

There was no mention of Aitor Sotes, Delegate of Euskadi in the United States or of Iñaki Ruiz his counterpart in Mexico, that will probably be also replaced in a few days/weeks.

Even though a number of posts have been let go, there has still been no indication, or mention of any replacements.  It is hoped that a new Secretary General of Foreign Action will be named to replace Iñaki Aguirre possibly next week, and that shortly thereafter other positions will be named.  All of this hinges of course on the assumption that Lehendakari will preserve the original organizational chart of the department.
