Tandil, Argentina. The Euskal Etxea in Tandil attended the 4th Community Gastronomic Fair that took place on March 8th in the local Peace Garden.  The Basque stand provided delicious paella, txorizo in cider, made by the mothers of the txikis along with sweet cakes.  Besides their participation with food, the club dantzaris also performed typical dances like the Fandango.

The night before, on March 8th, the club’s pilota group organized a Paleta Tournament in honor of the International Women’s’ Day with women players from Tandil, Necochea, Mar del Plata and other towns in the area.

Winners were in Goma, Pamela Calafate and Marina Fulco; in Nucleus, Belén Egusquiza and Florencia Bazan. See photos, here

In the coming weeks

Even if they started the year off well, with choir and dance rehearsals, and with Basque classes beginning this week, in the spirit of prevention due to the coronavirus situation, the club has decided to follow in line with many other clubs and cancel all activities until April.
