The event that aims to provide the community with an evening outside, full of cultural expressions, celebrated its 4th edition this year in Pergamino, Argentina.  This is a new activity for the local Lagun Onak Basque Club, heavily involved in the program of activities. The Basque participant delegation introduced several aspects of the Basque cultural traditions, on and off the stage.

Pergamino, Argentina.   The Night Arts Festival 2015 took place on April 18 in Pergamino, and took place in the Centenario neighborhood, on its main spot, Avenida Juan B. Justo.  Organized by the city, the Chamber of Commerce and the Promotional Society of the Centenario neighborhood, the festivities started at 6pm and gathered a large number of cultural, sports, and commercial institutions.

Invited by the organizers, the Lagun Onak Basque club also participated at the festival on the main stage, as well as with a food stand on the street.  In addition, it showed and disseminated the Basque language with posters in Euskera the audience used as backdrops for photographs.

After the festival, the Basque Club was happy and satisfied with the result, not only “because of the great time had,” but also because it provided an excellent opportunity to make itself known in the community.  In the words of club officials, “The best part were the comments from the people; they said they sensed joy and relaxation, in the air along with a sense of cordiality and respect, Basque values that we need to maintain through these times making the end of this festival the best ever,” according to club sources.
