Gernika, Bizkaia. With a newly elected board of directors led by Amaia Urberuaga, Basque-Australian born in Ingham (Queensland), the new entity, that is still taking shape, invites everyone to its first event on November 25th in Gernika for a meal.  All Basque-Australians are invited to attend along with only linked to, or interested in the Basque-Australian reality, or who would like to strengthen the ties that bring Australia and Euskal Herria together.

To date, some 250 people have signed up for this first event, that will serve as the first contact in a festive atmosphere where everyone can get together, to analyze what activities should be developed to better familiarize others with Basque immigration to Australia, to research it further as well as to disseminate it.  It will also serve to bring Basque-Australians together whose reality is less known in Euskal Herria as other phenomenon such as immigration to the US and Canada, or even Latin America.

Invitation:

-Place: Zimela Restaurant in Gernika (on the way from Gernika to Bermeo)
-Time: 14:30
-Price: 30 euros
