Donostia-San Sebastián. The Etxepare Basque Institute will celebrate next Wednesday its 10th anniversary of hard work promoting the Basque language and culture on the international scene. To do so, it has organized an event that will take place on December 9th at its headquarters of Tabakalera in Donostia at 4:30pm (local time,) that can be followed online. It will include a performance by the Sra. Polaroiska duo that will be the framework to present the new institutional campaign, led by eleven people who have helped spread the Basque language and culture throughout the world.
Due to the current circumstances, the event will include measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 notably limiting attendance. The event will be led by Irene Larraza, the Institute’s Director, and Bingen Zupiria, the Minister of Culture and Linguistic Policy and Basque Government spokesperson.
