Macachín, Argentina. The pandemic has finally taken a breath, at least in some cities in the interior of Argentina where no new cases of COVID-19 have been registered in the last 100 days.  It's the case of Macachin, in La Pampa, a province that came through the quarantine without any scars.  In this context the local Euzko Alkartasuna Basque Club has reopened its doors and through a progressive reactivation will return to normal activities in the coming week.

All will take place following protocols strictly.  This week, dance classes will resume for youth and adults who will practice divided into smaller groups that will not exceed 10 people, always maintaining social distance; the children will begin next week when the Euskal Etxea has the corresponding authorization.  Basque classes will also return to the classroom, even if the 10 students and teachers have been enjoying a well-deserved vacation.

Sports including paleta, will also begin practices and the restaurant Iñaki is already open every day at noon, and also at night on the weekend. They have also reopened the bar to the public.  The Hotel Euzko Alkartasuna, even if it is functioning is open only to people from out the the province that have to quarantine for 14 days.

We share our joy with the Basque club in Macachin and we hope to be able to share the same news about more Basque clubs in Argentina and the world soon. We cross fingers.
