The Official Bulletin of the Basque Country published yesterday the call for support for Basque clubs to take care of members in situations of extreme need in the Basque community abroad. In accordance to priorities set by the Directorate of the Basque Community Abroad, the budget is the same as last year or 202,000 Euros, with no cuts. The deadline to apply is May 24th.

Vitoria-Gasteiz.  The Official Bulletin of the Basque Country published on April 24th a Resolution of April 16th which opens the call to Basque clubs to meet the healthcare needs of people who are in situations of extreme need in Basque communities abroad.

According to the priorities set at the beginning of the year by Asier Vallejo Itsaso, director of Basque Communities Abroad, the grant is not being affected by the crisis and the amount to be awarded this year is the same as last with 202,000 Euros.

Persons belonging to Basque communities abroad must apply via their local Basque club.  According to the resolution, if there is not a Basque club in the area, eligible people can apply via their nearest club: Non-members need to address the club closest to them geographically.

Deadline to apply is May 24, 2014.
