Ontario, Oregon, USA. Following the US Basque calendar, this coming Sunday the Ontario Basque Club in Oregon would have celebrated its traditional "Mikel Deuna - Saint Michael" festivities. As all other events this year, this one too had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. Nevertheless, Aita Antton Egiguren, will celebrate mass this Sunday the 27th especially remembering members of the Ontario, OR local Basque community as well as those who have passed away during the year. The mass will be in both Basque and English and will be celebrated live from California.
Mikel Deuna, Saint Michael is the patron Saint of Euskal Herria
As every Sunday, Mass will be aired live on the Artzai Ona Facebook page, the US Basque Catholic association at 8:15 PST, or 5:15pm in Euskal Herria. Specifically, at 8:15 the mass begins with the introduction and comments by Aita Antton, mentioning those whose intentions will be included during mass. Mass itself will begin at 8:30am from St. Patrick and Our Lady of Mercy Parish in Merced, California.
