Donostia-San Sebastián. After the previous article dedicated to ENE, International Euskera Day celebrations in 2019, here is another batch with more images and news of events and celebrations.  Many are from events like those around the world to commemorate International Day of Euskera, and some are dual celebrations along with Christmas parties and end of year, and/or semester celebrations.

It might be a useful reminder that the ENE celebration is meant to implicitly claim the very existence of the Basques, Basque language and Basque culture in the diaspora and the important contribution historically made from abroad to the common Basque trunk.  This claim is made by many Basque speakers who may have never physically lived in the homeland, but are committed and active wherever they live serving as a living testimony that Euskera, in addition to being the heritage of the seven geographical provinces, is also a pillar of the Basque community not necessarily defined in terms of borders and maps. More proof that Basques scattered all over the world are also members of a rich, more plural and complex reality that encompasses us all.

This Basque reality of the Diaspora is evident at events such as the ENE whose celebrations show the excitement and the committed effort of many people. Basque students at Basque clubs all over the world join in growing number every year.  Also in 2019, where mintzapraktikas took place, creating of videos and sketches, sharing meals, enjoying dance and songs, theirs and ours.  The way of celebrating are the same and also differ from place to place as there is the added local color that gives us, with a recipe whose basic ingredients are love and affection, generosity, and commitment feelings and forces that move the world.  Here is a new collection of photos and videos from ENE 2019.
