Santiago, Chile. Despite the uncertainty and the boredom that the pandemic and confinement can cause, the truth is that they have also become a source of inspiration and a meeting place in the distance. Such is the case of this version of the Basque classic “Ikusi Mendizaleak,” recorded by a dozen musician friends from Latin America and the Basque Country, invited by Ángel Alfonso Espinoza Cáceres, a reference of the Chilean Basque group ‘Hilario Olazaran’.
In the words of Espinoza Cáceres, the recording of “this mountain hymn was done in the tranquility of our homes due to the quarantine caused by the pandemic and was recorded only on cell phones to give it maximum realism.” The group would like to thank all of the members and friends, especially video editor, Cristian Talarico.
