Buenos Aires, Argentina. As busy as they are excited, members of the Laurak Bat Basque Club are putting the final touches on the “Buenos Aires Celebrates the Basque Country” that will take place this year virtually. The list isn’t definitive yet, and there are still times to be determined, but putting together something that was only an idea a month ago is exciting, and organizers what to share what they’ve been working on, as well as some surprises that will leave everyone with their mouths opened.

President of the Laurak Bat Basque Club, Arantxa Anitua in a conversation with EuskalKultura.eus couldn’t disguise her joy and optimism.  “This is a huge challenge but a wonderful one that has unified us more as a group.  Beyond the results, what has been done so fare defines us, because we were the first to propose this type of virtual celebration to the city as different generations work side by side, we are reaching people-artists, and top-level athletes, who have wanted to maker their contribution.  We are excited,” Anitua said.

Expectations are very high just a few days before the event.  The festival will start next Sunday at noon and can be enjoyed on Laurak Bat’s Facebook and Instagram, as well as on Buenos Aires Celebrates the Basque Country at the following links:
