San Nicolas, Argentina. The training workshop will be held at the San Nicolas Basque Club and is aimed at “anyone, or any institutions interested in, or currently practicing the Basque culture and specifically the heritage of dance.” The event will be predominantly practice and is coordinated by Aitor Alava the leader of the Buenos Aires Ekin Dantzari Taldea. According to Alava, the gathering aims to “develop a group concept of the image of Euskal Herria while understanding the dimension of Basque culture and see how it manifests itself in this institution.”
They are also looking for participants “to generate permanent ties to the Basque culture and with the institution. They will also work on body language in relation to Basque dance and the role of dance as a playful-educational tool will also be worked on, along with theoretical concepts related to dance to be studied in depth” (complete information here).
