Sao Paulo, Brazil. Summer vacation is coming to an end in the Southern Hemisphere and Basque clubs in the area are already preparing their annual programs. In the case of Eusko Alkartasuna in Brazil, this year also includes something special since December 9th, 2019 will mark its 60th anniversary. The club has published the list of event that it will carry out in 2019 with the idea of sharing the anniversary through a broad program of activities for both members and the general public.
The activities proposed are the following:

-April 26, 82º Anniversary of the Bombing of Gernika. Anniversary to be observed by showing a documentary.
-April 27, Aberri Eguna
-May 16, Youth gathering
-May 25, Picnic at the Ibirapuera Park
-June 1, Gathering to watch the World Cup
-June 14, Food event: “The Essence of Basque Cooking”
-July 20, activity aimed at women (TBD)
-August 4, San Ignacio
-August 18, Mus Workshop
-September 8, Day of the Basque Diaspora
-September 19, Talk on Basque Politics
-October 17, Talk Series
-October 20, Pintxo Eguna
-December 1, 60th anniversary celebration
-December 6, International Euskera Day celebration and dinner
The Basque club invites everyone to participate in these events. They also want to remind you that they are bilingual calendars (Portuguese/Euskara) are available for purchase. These were created by the club as part of it 60th anniversary. Cost is 10 Reales.
